November 14, 2008 Giclee prints of "Home to Fowlmere" and "By Dawn's First Light" will be available for purchase soon. These are high quality reproductions that are truly faithful and accurate to the originals in terms of color and clarity. As the artist, I was very impressed with the overall quality of these professionally made prints. I think you will be as well. August 29, 2008 I have completed my latest painting titled, "By Dawn's First Light" which depicts an American Airways DC-3 flying over a fog shrouded Ohio River valley just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. Below are the lights of the Bellvue and Fort Thomas areas of Northern Kentucky. Just in front of the plane's tail is Lunken Airport. It was a fun painting to do and I have learned a great deal from painting it. I hope you will like it. July 24, 2008 I have not been painting for a while. I just started to work on the DC-3 again establishing the dark values of the pre dawn landscape and river. They will slowly be lightened up as I move along with rhe painting. I think things will begin to take shape soon! I am looking into better ways to show my WIPs. I will have a better way to view them in the near future. July 3, 2008 I have decided to begin a painting project depicting a Douglas DC-3 in flight. The DC-3 was one of the most aesthetically pleasing machines ever designed by man. It was/is also one of the most dependable.I will have a sketch up soon to give you an idea of the direction I will take in this painting. Also, have a great fourth of July!
